EUROPEAN BRASS ACADEMY
In this coming study year (2012/13) Mr. Steuart is very pleased to have been able to invite two of his friends and closest colleagues from the Hochschule für Musik Wuerzburg, Professor Wolfgang Gaag / French Horn and Professor Andreas Kraft / Trombone!
They join him as both the Professor/Lecturers of the EBA 2013 aswell as Jury Members for the "Bavarian Music-Student Competition" 2012/13 Celebration.
This year the EBA will take place on the12th of Febraury 2013 at the Bavarian Music Academy in Hammelburg with 3 one and one half hour (1+ 1/2) Masterclasses held by each of the Jury members of the "Bavarian Music-Student Brass Competition 2012/13": Professor Gaag, Professor Kraft and Mr. Steuart between each of 2. and final rounds of the "Bavarian Student Brass Players" competition.
TheEuropean Brass Academywas initiated by Richard Carson Steuart in 1985 with the intention of offering both his students and those of his teaching colleagues throughout Europe the opportunity to allow theier students to study in both special Masterclass and in Concert environments with some of the finest brass teachers and performers world-wide!
Since it's inception in 1985 the "EBA" has been fortunate to have had invited top international artists and professors, all of whom possessing both high "human" and "professional" teaching attributes to give Lectures, Master Classes and Concerts for and with students from all over the world. Many of these top-performer/teachers such as Dr. Fred W. Mills / CANADA; Michael Laird/GB; Guy Touvron / F; Bobby Shew / USA; Prof. Jiggs Whiggam / USA/D; Dimitri Golovnen / Neva Brass; Igor Sharapov and his "Russian Brass"/St. Petersburg RUSSIA; Prof. Allan Cox / USA; Dr. Dr. Edward H. Tarr D/USA, Prof. Valery Poslavuk / UKRAINIA, Vladislav Lavrik of "Moscow Master Brass" / RUSSIA (to name only a few), many of whom have been repeated guests of the European Brass Academy over the last (more than) 25 years!
